Author H.E. Curtis

Author H.E. Curtis lives in Northern California in the Sierra Nevada foothills.

Raised with a book in one hand and a pen in the other, he learned the gift of laughter and the love of books at the knee of his very patient mother. She fostered his imagination in many different areas, and he has thankfully carried his childhood lessons into maturity.

His sense of adventure has led him to take a pilgrimage in Scotland and Ireland, where he learned the folly of asking locals for directions (just a wee bit farther . . . past the tree and the large rock. You can't miss it!), and rescued a baby from a wrecked car (the driver must have been following the same directions).

Shortly after his return, he married a comely lass of Scottish heritage and hasn't had a peaceful night since. Adding to the fun, chaos and adventure, he has three children who have him wrapped around their little fingers. He has taught each of them the fine art of walking barefoot in the rain.

His accomplishments include a Master's Degree in Education, a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, and a minor in English Literature and writing.

The author is proud to acknowledge that one of his favorite and most memorable jobs had him walking barefoot and in medieval costume during his employment, where he worked for books instead of money.

When he is not slaving away at his mundane job, Mr. Curtis is an avid reader whose tastes range anywhere from classical literature to science fiction.

Additional interests include his family geneology, paranormal investigations, studies in symbolism, myth and folklore, dreams, hypnosis, autism and deaf awareness and advocacy, and the plight of the wolf.

His insatiable curiousity about almost everything gets him into regular trouble with his wife. Telemarketers have experienced his wicked side when he starts telling them long-winded stories about family life, songs and made-up adventures that can last over thirty minutes.

Rarely does he get another call back.
